The mandate
A Northeast-based private equity firm focused on tech-enabled services retained Ether to develop and execute an add-on search strategy for its portfolio company, a leading provider of SaaS-based asset and fleet tracking solutions. The investment thesis was to expand the company’s North American client base, increase assets managed on the platform, and broaden the combined entity’s service and technology offerings.

The process yielded a signed letter of intent within four months of the initial introduction. The transaction closed just over three months after the LOI was signed.
A platform transformed at scale
The acquisition effectively doubled the portfolio company in both revenue and EBITDA, added thousands of new customers to the combined platform, and more than doubled the assets tracked through the software.
